NKS Rogaland invites you to our very first online seminar given by Andrea Bagi from NORCE (Norwegian Research Centre). Andrea Bagi will introduce two nanotechnologies with great potential for applications in aquatic environmental monitoring. She will talk about surface plasmon resonance sensing, a direct optical biosensing approach and nanopore sequencing, a direct nucleic acid sequencing approach and will illustrate how these technologies can be used to inform about the status of the marine environment.
Andrea is a researcher in the Marine Ecology group at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre. She holds a PhD in microbial ecology from the University of Stavanger and joined NORCE (formerly IRIS) as a postdoc in 2017 to work on developing environmental surveillance strategies to monitor marine oil releases through genosensors.
